My group
The work of the research group focuses on fixed and optical network architectures, with emphasis on Converged metro/access network architecture, Long-Reach passive optical networks, Intra and inter data center communications architectures and protocols, Software Defined Networks access/metro control planes, PON protocols and FPGA prototype development.
The group is located at Trinity College University in Dublin, and it’s part of CTVR and CONNECT telcomnunications research centres. Other activities carried out at the Trinity College branch of CTVR are cognitive radio and networks, carried out by Prof. Linda Doyle and Prof. Luiz Da Silva.
The group is closely link and shares the same premises with CTVR’s Wireless network group led by Linda Doyle.
